We’re in the home stretch! Hard to believe, as we bid October a fond farewell, there are only two months remaining in the year 2024. Even more astonishing is how much potential lies therein!

Every year, new clients think we’re exaggerating when we tell them: “Hone your gift voucher strategies and the final 60 days of the year can be just as, if not more profitable, than the previous 300 combined.”

And like clockwork, every year, we delight in watching clients celebrate as our predictions come to fruition. Over the coming weeks, you’ll hear us talk about Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the Festive Season at length. Whether it’s here on our blog or across our social media channels.

But before we dive head first into the busiest and most lucrative time of the year, we’re kicking off October’s #HighlightReel with some monthly updates.

 

Advancing Partnerships: EatX, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Subscribers may recall our recent partnership with The Guild Restaurant in Dubai! Well, get ready for the next chapter. There’s nothing we love more than long-lasting client relationships that blossom and develop over time.

EatX is one of many perfect examples (Another is set to appear next month!). We quickly progressed from providing gift vouchers for one of their locations to adapting our technology for all ten of their eateries.

Back in our August #ClientSnapshot, we mentioned venturing into new territory: The World of Beauty, Cosmetics, and Wellness. Since then, we have signed on several new clients, demonstrating an ever-hastening snowball effect.

From dermatology to dentistry to spa treatments to fitness regimes to immune system support, businesses akin to South Africa’s SCINMed are seeing phenomenal results by offering gift vouchers for their treatments. And there’s so much more to come! Check out their gift vouchers in the meantime, offering experiences for both men and women.

 

The Countdown is On: Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Show-Stopping Sales
You knew it was coming! Once again, we’re banging the drum for Black Friday and just how important it is to be prepared.

This year, we’re seeing businesses take it to a whole new level, with some going so far as to declare the entire month of November a discount paradise. And guess what? It’s working! While Black Friday is still a few weeks away, there’s nothing stopping you running exclusive, limited-time-only, weekly discounts from the first Monday in November. You can always ramp things up for Cyber Week. By then, you’ll have a captive audience, meaning even more sales.

If theme parks celebrate Christmas in July and department stores begin selling festive wares in August, kickstarting gift card sales a little earlier is definitely fair game.

 

Lay the Groundwork: Effective Campaigns Need Time to Grow
Speaking of preparation, giving festive campaigns the necessary time and space to grow will guarantee the greatest results. While you may be focusing on the likes of Black Friday, don’t forget to look ahead to the Festive Season.

Beginning to curate social media campaigns, newsletters, and PPC in particular is an extremely worthwhile exercise. Stay a step ahead of your competitors by giving your campaigns time to mature. That way, once shoppers begin hunting for Christmas presents, your gift cards promotions will be front and centre and at the top of their minds.
